Responsibilities 🚀

As our Founding Frontend Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in bringing our generative design canvas to life. Here’s what you’ll be diving into:

• Develop and maintain a highly reactive and responsive canvas with powerful editing tools.
• Own key decisions on frontend technologies and libraries, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.
• Collaborate closely with design and AI engineers to seamlessly integrate innovative features into the canvas.
• Ensure an exceptional user experience by prioritizing quality in everything you do.
• Set up frontend environments or support with backend and infrastructure tasks.

Who We’re Looking For 🧬

You’re a skilled Frontend Engineer who:

• Feels at home in a bit of startup chaos.
• Has experience with graphics, including 2D/3D development and Rust.
• Is proficient in web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Next.js, WebGL/WebGPU, and WebAssembly.
• Brings knowledge of backend technologies, such as Node.js, Express, and relational/non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing independent work with cross-functional collaboration.
• Is a clear communicator, comfortable working remotely, and proactive about sharing ideas and solutions.

Bonus Skills ⭐

While not required, here’s what will make you stand out:

• Background in building reactive editors or user-facing design tools.
• A track-record in graphics-intensive industries like gaming or 3D visualization.
• Experience with design and HCI principles, understanding how AI can enhance creative workflows.
• A Ph.D. or advanced degree from a top-tier institution, with notable commercial experience.
• A positive attitude with a desire to win.
