Senior UI/UX Designer (Real-Time Data & Responsive Design)

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team, where you will focus on designing a web application that controls complex equipment and processes, while visualizing real-time data to empower users in making critical and real-time mission decisions.This role centers on delivering outstanding user experiences across multiple devices (phones, tablets, and PCs) with responsive layouts, interactive dashboards, and touch-enabled interfaces. Key Responsibilities:

• Data-Centric UI/UX Design:
• Conceptualize and create user interfaces for real-time data presentation in tables, graphs, and dashboards.
• Ensure visuals and interactions are intuitive, making complex data easy to understand at a glance.
• Responsive & Touch-Enabled Experiences:
• Develop designs that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and device capabilities (phone, tablet, PCs).
• Incorporate touch and gesture-based interactions where applicable.
• User-Centric Approach:
• Capture and organize stakeholder requirements.
• Translate user and stakeholder requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Clearly articulate stakeholder requirements to cross-functional teams for product development.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on findings to achieve optimal user satisfaction.
• Collaboration & Handoff:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, to ensure smooth handoffs and design integrity through final implementation.
• Advocate for user-centered design decisions, balancing user needs with technical and business constraints.
• Design Consistency & Standards:
• Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable components that reinforce brand identity and streamline development.
• Uphold pixel-perfect standards and maintain consistent user experiences across all touchpoints.
• Design intuitive workflows based on industry best practices.
• Stay Current:
• Keep up with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in UI/UX design, data visualization, and responsive design.
• Proactively apply best practices to maintain a cutting-edge and highly effective design process.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

o Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

• Professional Experience:

o Minimum of 10 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a track record of designing successful, data-intensive or mission-critical web applications.

o Demonstrable expertise in creating intuitive dashboards, graphs, and real-time data visualizations.

• Design Tools Mastery:

o Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and InVision.

• Responsive & Interactive Design:

o Strong command of responsive design principles, ensuring adaptability across multiple devices and input methods (touch, mouse, etc.).

o Experience designing for interactive and touch-enabled interfaces.

• Visual Design Excellence:

o Exceptional skills in typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy to produce aesthetically pleasing and cohesive designs.

• User Testing & Research:

o Proven ability to conduct user research, run usability testing, and gather feedback to inform iterative design improvements.

• Collaboration & Communication:

o Excellent communication skills for articulating design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

o Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment, participating in design sprints and iterative development.

• Problem-Solving Mindset:

o Creative and analytical thinker, adept at solving complex UI/UX challenges with user-centric solutions.

• Frontend Familiarity:

o Understanding of frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS) to facilitate collaborative design-development handoffs.
